For the 2nd match of the season, the Raiders take on the Slippery Rock Rockets, coached by the 2014 Reynolds grad, Denton Zeronas. This is the the 21st meeting between the schools with RHS winning all of the previous 20 years. (Note: You can see all the individual scores on this site under Legacies->History. Some of their wrestlers deserve special attention thus far.
Senior Lexi Doerflinger (107), 7-4, has earned an Honorable Mention in the NW Region. She was 5th in the Section last year and we have seen her beat some talented people over her career.
Freshman Zac Turberville (139) is also recognized with an Honorable Mention in the NW Region and is ranked 23rd in the State. Zac has almost all pins; his two non-pins were an 11-0 major and a forfeit!
Additionally, Braiden Reich, a Senior, has been on a tear in the 215 & 285 weights with a 10-0 record with 9 pins and a forfeit.
At 189 & 215, Soph Klint Shamblin, has a respectable 7-4 record but his losses come to quality opponents, including last year's AA state runner-up.
